Moroccan Miracle?

Happy Wednesday everyone!!  It’s dreary as can be over here, so I opted to cuddle under a blanket in my room… I love rain, but only at nighttime.  Walking all over campus to class in a downpour is not my idea of a good time at all, especially since I still have not invested in a pair of rain boots.  Flip flops are NOT ideal in the rain, haha.

Anyway, I wanted to talk a little about my hair today.  I have a bit below shoulder-length, wavy, processed hair.  It used to be very thick, but when I chopped it all off two summers ago I had it thinned, and the old thickness just hasn’t grown back yet… recently, I’ve been trying a lot of different ways to get my hair back into shape.  I want to stop dying it, so I tried to get it a color close to my natural shade, which is close but sadly no cigar.  To counteract the dying, as I’ve said, I’ve experimented a LOT.  Last year I bought this special Indian hair oil that was allegedly supposed to make your hair grow faster, and make it strong and shiny in the process.  Well, I should have saved my money, because it seemed too good to be true and it was.

After wasting my money on the Indian hair oil, I searched for something to tame my hair and make it smooth and soft.  I’ve never had really soft hair and have always longed for it, since two of my closest friends have the most beautiful, straight, shiny, soft hair.  I tried different shampoo, no shampoo at all (if you want me to blog about my no-poo phase, let me know!!), and finally settled on sulfate-free.  Still enamored with the idea of silky soft hair, I stumbled upon a cult product that everyone else on the planet seems to know but me: MoroccanOil.

I’ve read SO many good things about MoroccanOil and decided to buy some before leaving for college.  I’ve been using this product for over a month now and I really, really like it.  The smell is pepperminty and light, and the texture is not oily at all once it’s worked into damp hair.  It definitely leaves my hair softer (although this only lasts a day or so, which is bad for me since I wash my hair twice a week), and you only need one pump!  The price is steep, but I believe that this will last a very long time.

Overall, I would give this product a 9/10… it’s wonderful, but not quite the miracle I was hoping for. For now, I’ll use it, but I’m always open to alternatives!!  What do you guys use to attain perfect hair?  Let me know, and also tell me if you like hair posts like this :]

Have a fantastic day lovelies!  :*
